(moved over from old forum)
Mission: Doll yourself, or your character, dressed for the past, present, and the future, using at least 4 items from each corresponding list. Artistic vision paired with a pageant contest!! *dreamy eyes* lol Alright, down to business:
You can doll yourself, or one of your characters, but please use the same persona for all three dolls, which means use the same base and overall appearance as well. Anything goes in this contest, whatever your idea is, run with it, but stay within the "past, present, future" limits. Nowadays, anything is pretty much possible, and obviously you can do literally anything with your future doll, because who knows what can/will happen in the future. However, I would like you to try and stay more realistic with your past doll; where/when would you/your character be if you went back in time? Cavemen days? Ancient Greek times? 1500's? The 60's? Pick a time and dress your doll accordingly. Not too difficult I assume
Now with the items, each version of the pageant has it's own list of 17 items, of which you must have a minimum of 4 items, maximum 17 If you want to use items from either of the other two lists, you may, but it will not count toward your item count. PLEASE try to be creative when using these items, don't just color something gold and say you used it (granted that is allowed, but at least try to be imaginative)
Please keep any animation to a minimum and your overall entry within a 555(w) x 515(h) limit. Backgrounds and props are allowed, and most definitely encouraged ^^ but I don't want a disco ball hanging over your 'past' doll *peers* You get the picture I'd also like to request that you somehow work all of the items you choose to use from the list, into your doll and it's surroundings, instead of just adding all the items and placing them next to him/her randomly.
All items must be visible, and apparent. You can not combine two items, they must each be their own part of the overall picture. If you want to put cracks on your mirror, that sort of thing is allowed, but things like adding an animal and counting that also as fur is not accepted. That may sound contradictory, but think of it like this, if you have to add the item to an already existing item, it is allowed.
The Items: (pulled out of a hat at random)
Past
Present
Future
Example:
Base
Which items did you use, and how did you use them?: [Past (circa Tudor era)] Banner (medieval house banner), Layers (under skirt, over dress, over sleeves), Gold (jewelry and trim of outfit, and 'metal' of banner), Fur (over sleeves), and Circles (background) [Present] Orb (crystal ball), Moon (design on table cover), Squares (background), Good Luck Charm (rabbit's foot), Streak (in hair), Lace (lacing up the front of the shirt) [Future] Shadow, Scissors, Symbol (eternity tattoo), Stars (background), Weapon (scythe in shadow)
